Session 1_핵오염수 방류와 자기결정권 Contaminated-Water Discharge

일본정부의 후쿠시마 제1원전 핵오염수 방류가 시작되었습니다.

핵오염수가 방류되고 있는 바다는 누구의 것인가요? 2011년 후쿠시마 원전 사고로 전 세계는 이미 핵발전소가 야기한 파괴와 생태적 학살을 고통스럽게 마주했습니다. 그리고 10여년이 지난 지금, 방대한 양의 핵오염수가 바다로 방출되고 있지요. 바다를 토대로 살아가는 수많은 생명들 앞에서, 핵발전과 오염수 처리에 관한 책임은 어떻게 물을 수 있을까요? 우리가 함께 살아가는 지구라는 공동체의 안전을 결정하고 책임질 권한은 누구에게 있나요?

이번 2023모모평화대학 가을학기 '커먼즈: 모두를 위한 평화와 안보'는 공존과 평화를 위한 조건을 커먼즈의 시선으로 조명합니다. 안전이란 무엇이며, 안전을 보장한다는 것이 무엇이어야 하는지, 일상에 대한 자기결정권을 스스로 행사하고자 고민하시는 분들을 초대합니다.

2023년 10월 25일: 커먼즈는 평화에 어떻게 기여할 수 있을까?

The Japanese government has begun releasing nuclear-contaminated water from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.

The water to where the nuclear-contaminated water discharged belongs? In 2011, the world was painfully reminded of the destruction and ecological carnage caused by nuclear power plants when the Fukushima nuclear disaster occurred. Now, more than a decade later, vast amounts of nuclear-contaminated water are being released into the ocean. How can we hold nuclear power and the disposal of contaminated water accountable when so many lives depend on the ocean? Who has the authority to decide and be responsible for the safety of the community we share - our planet?

This 2023 PEACEMOMO Fall College, "Commons: Peace and Security for All" will explore the conditions for coexistence and peace through the lens of the commons. We invite you to consider what security is, what it should be, and how to exercise self-determination in your daily life.
